This Social Work England-accredited degree equips you to qualify as a professional social worker. Developed with the North East London Commissioning Panel, the course integrates:

Year 1: Core Competencies

  • Assessing Needs & Ethical Practice (30 credits)

Year 2: Applied Practice

  • Interprofessional Collaboration (15 credits)

  • Social Work Law (15 credits)

  • Safeguarding Frameworks (15 credits)

  • First Placement: 70 days (60 credits)

Year 3: Professional Readiness

  • Advanced Intervention Strategies (15 credits)

  • Research Project (30 credits)

  • Final Placement: 100 days (75 credits)

Academic:

  • 120 UCAS points (BBB at A-Level or DDM BTEC)

  • GCSE English (Grade 4+) or equivalent

Professional:

  • 12 weeks’ experience with vulnerable groups

  • Enhanced DBS check (registered with Update Service)

  • Interview assessing values & resilience

Alternative Routes:

  • Access to HE Diploma (45 credits at Merit+)

  • Relevant work experience considered
